@broadcastvanilla You just have to give it about 3 mins to prime the nail, if it still feels tacky it doesn’t matter as the gel will bond to it.
do you have to let the primer dry, before you apply the gel? ore doesn’t mather?
@ssips720 Yeh you can soak these off with acetone, just buff the gel down a bit then leave to soak for about 10 mins, eventually the gel will be gone. To do the fill ins you buff the nail down a little bit to eliminate the shine then follow the instructions in this video (prime nail, use finishing wipe etc) but only use two coats of clear gel instead of three. If that makes sense.
are these the soak off gel kind or.. how exactly do you do fill ins?
@08emily89 The ones in the pack are good but they are thicker. So when you need to buff over the top of them to blend the seem it takes a while and you need to cut them down to size. If your tight on time these are easier to blend because they are thinner and already at the length i wanted. But they aren’t as durable as the ones in the pack because they are thinner. If you want long lasting i would advise using what came with the set or if you want longer nails
how come you didnt use the nail tips form the pack? is it because you used them all or were they not very good ones?

@stellarstrawberry19 The kit i got came with a finishing solution that you wipe the tacky gel off with at the end of curing this will remove it from your hand. If not you could use a small amount of acetone being very careful not to get it on you nail. If the gel that is on you skin is attached to the nail a grit nail file can be used to file it away. It is cheaper to get the kit, mine was about £90, if you want them done a lot.
@beglamorous19 it cost me about £90 so its a lot. But after a few trips saved at the salon you would get your money back.
This looks dead easy to follow. But I was wondering, how much it costs for all that stuff you used. I assume it would be cheaper to buy all of that than pay at a salon if you go regularly, but if you only want the odd one off would it be better to just go to a salon. Also, what do you do to remove it if you get gel on your skin? xoxo

@BermudaPrincess I was scared when i first did it. But if you take your time with it and read all the instructions you’ll be fine.

Just inquiring about the 2 in 1 top coat at the end. Can you use a uv top coat and cure it or is there something else I should be using?

Some kits will come with a top coat, some others won’t. If you have a uv curing top coat that you would like to use, it should work just fine.
